Candidate Forum/Meet & Greet

East Tawakoni is hosting a Candidate Forum/Meet & Greet this evening, February 2, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The candidates attending are campaigning for Rains County positions. There will be candidates running for Precinct 4 County Commissioner that will be of interest to our Extra Territorial Jurisdiction citizens. East Tawakoni is Precinct 2. As clarification, County Commissioner Jeremy Cook for Precinct 2 remains in office this year. The candidates are:
County Judge: Brent Hilliard/Jay Ford
Justice of the Peace: Tony Ingram/William Douglas
County Commissioner Precinct 4: Lori Northcutt/Dennis Wagner/Dustin Briggs (Mr. Briggs is unable to attend this evening)
We will begin with each candidate presenting their qualifications and why they are running for office. Then we will take questions from the audience. It can be a question for all of them or for one or more specific candidates.
Come out and have a cookie and get to know the candidates to make an informed decision when you vote.
